You recently received notice of the celebration of the ninth congress of our association to be held in Madrid from 12 to 15 November 2012. As always the development of the event will include two days of the event dedicated to the oral presentation of papers and a poster session to which we give special significance and are presented on screens located in an area leading to the congress center. Therefore you are encouraged to submit abstracts of specific papers to this modality. Papers will be accepted on desalination and water reuse.

It is time therefore to apply the abstract or summaries of all those interested in submissions in this conference. The basic rules for such summaries are:

1. the summary of the communication must be around two to three pages, which may include figures and tables. In other congress we have requested summaries of 200 to 250 words, but we believe that this format will allow more information for the valuation of the works presented.

2. 2.The summary must be drawn up with following guidelines:
a. object of study, research or project.
b. applied development line
c. Brief description of the results and possible applications.

3. In the summary, the author and the company, organization or association to which they belong must appear. Also include the title and the session in which you want the frame the presentation. The author/s must communicate specifically if the paper wants to be presented in electronic poster form or if you opt for the oral presentation. The express desire of wanting to present oral communication mode does not guarantee that the paper is selected in this modality

Technical committee

After the assessment, the technical committee will communicate to the author's acceptance or the rejection of it. Also be informed whether the communication has been selected in the form of oral or electronic poster. From this time the authors will develop the full paper to be included in the CD of the conference papers. The deadline for submission of full papers will be communicated in due course.

The technical committee reserves the right to reject the paper or change your mode of exposure (oral or poster) if it does not meet the expectations generated by the abstract subject of prior evaluation or have insufficient quality.

Finally, prepare the presentation format in Power point, which will also be reviewed by the technical committee to make sure the presentation fits the content of the submission and will be included in the conference papers CD.

There will be established, the award for the best paper in each of the modalities of presentation, oral and poster, and in each of the sections, desalination and water reuse. For the designation of the best papers will be taken into account the feedback of attendees and it will be important not only the content of communication, but also the exposure of the same. Prizes will be awarded during the gala dinner. We trust on the strict compliance with the rules and deadlines set for both submissions of abstracts, the complete conference.
